Recent Projects

Daily projects are being completed nationally, ranging in size from small service jobs to massive 2 year projects. The following “Recent Projects” details some good examples.

Client Testimonial

I would like you to pass this message on to the relevant people.

Sebastian and Adam have been working in Design over the past couple of weeks.   They are very polite, hard working young men, and this note is to let DESA know that their employees are a credit to the DESA organisation.

Jenny Murray

Department of Infrastructure

The works were to install a Systimax Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) Category 6A UTP structured cabling system throughout the office areas. This system provides both state of the art cabling while being green and Ozone friendly!

Communications Cabling

Project Value:

$1.5 Million

The aim of the project was to relocate all departments and staff from existing sites within the CBD. The new office fit out is located in Melbourne CBD.

Each floor consisted of 6 zones of cabling. 5 zones were serviced by the installation of consolidation points within the ceiling space whilst the sixth zone was cabled directly back to the floor distributor. This involved over 6500 cable runs being installed across 12 floors, along with the cabling of the Central Communications Room and voice and fibre Optic backbone cabling to each of the floors.

DESA worked closely with ULC Consulting, Geyer Architects and the client to finalize the required design of cabling infrastructure before the works were commenced.

Securing a large project such as this has serious commercial implications.  Not only did DESA organise supplies and labour but there was also a need to arrange considerable financial resources.

DESA was able to handle the substantial turnover for a period of 6 months due to prudent management from the company’s financial staff.

DESA is proud of its estimating crew.  Despite the product being installed had not been used before in Victoria,  the costs supplied to the client tallied well with final expenditure figures.  All concerned were pleased that the project was completed within budget.
